Whether you’re actively job searching, thinking about making a career change, or simply trying to get ahead in your career, networking is likely to be your key to success. In this information-rich session, Dr. Michelle Tullier will reveal the secrets to making networking work. She’ll offer solutions to common networking obstacles, such as feeling like you’re just not the "networking type" or getting through to hard-to-reach people. She’ll also share tips for expanding your network, building powerful relationships, and much more. Dr. Tullier is a widely 
sought-after speaker and writer known for going beyond the basics to offer insights and techniques that will get you thinking and acting in new ways to jumpstart your career or job search.

Michelle will also be offering copies of her two most recent books, Networking for Job Search and Career Success (JIST, 2004) and the Unofficial Guide to Landing a Job (Wiley & Sons, 2005) at a special discounted rate for those attending this event. You will have a chance to purchase signed copies of her books during the meeting at $15.00 per book or $25.00 for the pair. Please have cash or check only on hand.

Biography:

Dr. Michelle Tullier has been a career counselor for the past 19 years. She is Vice President of Career Consulting at Right Management Consulting, a global outplacement and organizational consulting firm.

Prior to joining Right in spring of 2001,Michelle conducted a private practice in New York City for over ten years. She also served as a career coach for Monster.com, taught career development at NYU, and served as a career counselor at Columbia University.

Michelle’s expertise has been featured in many publications including Fortune, Chicago Tribune, and New York Newsday, and her article on electronic resumes was published in The New York Times. Her international reputation in career counseling led to an invitation in Fall of 2004 by the U.S. Department of State to travel to Amman, Jordan to help the Jordanian government establish career centers in 20 Jordanian universities.

Michelle is the author of eight published books including Unofficial Guide to Landing a Job Networking for Job Search and Career Success, and the Complete Idiot’s Guide to Overcoming Procrastination, and she was the scriptwriter for the best-selling video Build a Network for Work and Life.

Michelle holds a B.A. in Psychology from Wellesley College and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from UCLA with a secondary specialization in organizational behavior at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
