ebbie Rodkin Executive Director of RE:FOCUS ON CAREERS has been invited to speak at the Atlanta Building for the Future V. Debbie brings a wealth of information about business building and networking. Her informative presentation "Making the Most out of Networking — Beyond just the Handshake" emphasizes NAME's 2007 goal of increasing local area group structure and networking opportunities.

Debbie's program comes to us highly recommended.../ would recommend RE:FOCUS ON CAREERS and the group networking events to job seekers who are interested in making new contacts, professionals who are interesting in building their businesses, as well as recruiters and hiring managers who wish to identify new talent.--Kimberly Guelcher, Assistant Director, Alumni Career Services. Georgia State University

... her ability to provide techniques useful for all facets of professional networking made her especially sought after for the conference. Her networking tactics "...bring equality to the networking experience because it places both the extroverted and introverted individuals on a level playing field, giving everyone equal and ample opportunity to have their voices heard." These networking skills have been introduced to college students, job seekers, and seasoned professionals and all have agreed that the unique skills she introduces will be beneficial to networking in the future.

Debbie began running networking events for The Layoff Lounge which closed in 2004 when the CEO, Kelly Perdew, was hired by Donald Trump during the second season of The Apprentice. After numerous requests to continue assisting the public, Debbie founded RE:FOCUS ON CAREERS. Debbie has successfully grown this organization, and has spoken to audiences and facilitated events in Georgia and Florida, including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Georgia State University, Georgia Big Picture and Video Conference, Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers (GACE), Santa Fe Community College. She is the Regional Manager at Bedford Capital Consulting, building the cost segregation practice in the southeast. She also finds time to volunteer at a number of organizations, including Hands on Atlanta, Habitat for Humanity, and ACCESS. Attendees of Building for the Future V will have a chance to practice these newly instructed skills at the networking events taking place between and after the seminars. We hope to feature a session of her widely acclaimed and well-received speed networking during our after-hours events.
